UISS 150D - Gender, Identity, and Society


3 credit(s) High Impact Practice: Diversity
This integrative course examines some of the social and cultural frameworks that shape gender identities. A variety of perspectives may be considered, including biology, psychology, sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, philosophy, economics, politics, law, literature, and communication. Drawing from non-fiction, fiction, film, and social media, we will seek to understand how our individual and collective ideas about gender are constructed. (Formerly AUCS 150)
