CS 365 - Principles of Database Systems


3 credit(s)
This course provides a solid foundation in the theory, design, and programming of database systems. Topics include entity-relationship diagrams, the relational data model, database query languages, storage and indexing techniques, optimization, concurrency and recovery, transaction management, database design, and an introduction to distributed databases. Students will develop a database application from a prototype to implementation.
Prerequisite(s): CS 220P .
