The US Healthcare system consists of multiple financing, insurance, delivery, and payment mechanisms based around the common goal of delivering high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services to individuals. The US system is also subject to major reforms due to criticisms associated with cost, patient care, and structure. This class will thus provide an in-depth understanding of the US Healthcare system and proposed and enacted reforms, as well as a focus on major political, social, and economic programs and debates associated with this unique and complex system.
