HTD 111 - Ballet I

A continuation of work begun in HTD 110 and explores basic ballet movement, technique, vocabulary, musicality, and style at a beginner/ intermediate level. Students will study movement and dance vocabulary in adagio and allegro tempi at the barre, in the center, and across the floor. Movement work will be based on ballet technique and body conditioning, emphasizing placement, posture, and movement connection. A studio format is used.
Prerequisite(s): HTD 110 or advance placement.
