This course is a continuation of HTD 115. It explores technical jazz dance and its execution on an intermediate level, emphasizing technical dance skills. The focus is on musical theater styles utilizing social, contemporary, and ethnic dance forms. In this course, students will study seated and standing technical warm-up exercises, stretching, full-body conditioning, center work, and movement combinations while improving coordination skills, body placement, and performance qualities. A studio format is used.
Prerequisite(s): HTD 115 or advanced placement.
