HCID 410W - Capstone DesignCourse Cross-listed with CSE 471W . 3 credit(s) Writing Intensive Capstone Design is a group project-based course for Human-Computer Interaction Design majors that focuses on a single problem in the field. Students develop a proposal for a project which is based on the knowledge and skills acquired in earlier course work. Students analyze the project in terms of incorporating software and hardware standards and realistic constraints that include most of the following considerations: ethical, economic, environmental, health, safety, social, and political. Students produce a proposal based on principles of design with an emphasis on user experience design (UX) and product engineering. Enrollment is limited to those students expecting to perform their senior project during the following semester. Prerequisite(s): Human-Computer Interaction Design major and senior standing. Laboratory fee.
