HTD 415 - Jazz IV

This course is a continuation of HTD 414. It focuses on technical jazz dance and its execution on a mastery level. The emphasis is on musical theater and social, contemporary, and ethnic dance styles. In this course, students will study seated and standing technical warm-up exercises, stretching, full-body conditioning, center work, and movement combinations while mastering coordination skills, audition skills, and improvisation.
A studio format is used.
Prerequisite(s): HTD 414 or advanced placement.
