No organism is an island entire in itself. Every organism is part of one whole. Yet health remains an insular concept, as if it were localized within the individual organism. This course challenges this paradigm by demonstrating that the health of the whole determines, and is determined by, the interactions among individuals, and between individuals and the whole.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 110.
