HTA 251 - Musicianship for Music Theatre II

This course is a continuation of HTA 150. In this course, students explore various aspects of musicianship required for actors in musical theatre at an intermediate level. Students will participate in exercises and assignments that expand their knowledge and skills in music theory, ear training, sight-singing, dictation, and song analysis. The content of this course reinforces musicianship competencies related to musical theatre with an emphasis on the works by diverse authors and the specifics of auditioning.
Prerequisite(s): HTA 150; music theatre or actor training majors only.
