SM 340 - Sports Management & Analytics

This course applies foundational principles and practices drawn from the fields of management, marketing, finance and economics, ethics, and to sports management. It also explores how the development of analytical tools and techniques have led to more effective and efficient approaches to sports management over time. Building on this overview, attention is then focused on the evolving structure of the sports industry as well as notable trends within key industry segments, including facility management and event management, all with an eye toward their impact on individual career opportunities.
Prerequisite(s): 24 earned credits.
