PSY 412 - Human Factors and Ergonomics

This course merges cognitive psychology with human factors, exploring their applications to real-world issues. Topics include human-machine relations, human-computer interaction, and automation, based on models of perception, attention, memory, decision-making, and motor performance. The aim is to understand how to enhance human-system interaction for efficiency, safety, and user satisfaction. By course end, you’ll grasp the broad utility of psychology research and be adept at critiquing and designing solutions rooted in psychological insights.
