UISA 182D - Introduction to Latin American Literature

This course introduces students to major authors, texts, and themes in Latin American literature from colonization to the present. Special attention is paid to the ideas that have shaped Latin American and Latinx written expression during that time period and the genres (autobiography, poetry, prose, fiction, drama) in which those ideas are communicated. Counts as a “D” diversity course in UIS.
