MGT 701 - Managerial Skills and Agile Management

This course focuses on the development of skills important for managing people and project teams in traditional and agile environments, exploring the complex issues that managers face when being responsible for other individuals and teams who are accomplishing work in in rapidly changing environments. Topics include communication, motivation, time and stress management, negotiation, coaching, creating and delivering presentations, using agile management methods, leading teams, and dealing with conflict. Diagnostic instruments, practice exercises, and active student involvement are part of the course.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate standing or completed baccalaureate with GPA 3.0.
