DPT 504 - Movement Science

Kinesiology is the study of human movement. This course presents a first-level integration of the mechanical/anatomical/neurological basis of human movement. The subject matter is specifically developed for students in the health professions in which material from gross anatomy, biomechanics and exercise physiology is integrated. Human movement is studied from a quantitative and qualitative perspective of functional, kinematic and kinetic descriptions of single-joint, complex-joint and multi-joint motions and muscle mechanics.
Prerequisite(s): DPT 500 . Corequisite(s): DPT 505 .
