DPT 619 - Advanced Clinical Seminar

This course provides an integration of previous course work to consider multiple body systems in clinical care as physical therapy practitioners. The course challenges students to apply their knowledge, clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based approaches. Students will problem solve aspects of evaluation and treatment for various complex and/or specialty setting patient presentations pertaining to the integumentary, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and neuromuscular systems. Topics including pathology and patient management of burns, ulcers, wounds, oncology, genetics, pelvic health and mental health will be covered.
Prerequisite(s): DPT 511 and DPT 539.
