MSOT 609 - Occupational Therapy Service Delivery for Mental Health & Wellness

Occupational therapy services delivered in the mental, behavioral health, or community-based practice arena will be covered. Students will learn about the regulatory and reimbursement mechanisms that affect occupational therapy services within mental health and wellness settings. Students employ their clinical reasoning, therapeutic use of self and professional attitudes and behaviors while in the classroom and during Level I fieldwork experience. Transformative learning theory frames learning activities and expected outcomes. May require travel.
Prerequisite(s): MSOT 508, MSOT 509, MSOT 511, and MSOT 512.
