HTA 451P - Career Preparation


2 credit(s) High Impact Practice: Capstone
The course is designed to provide pre-service actors/storytellers with the foundations of working in the performing arts business. It allows students to participate in a work-based learning experience that combines classroom instruction with business and industry employment experiences. In this course, students will gain knowledge and skills pertaining to time management, budget management, agents, casting directors, marketing and promotion, unions, and the practical business aspects of a career in the performing arts.
Prerequisite(s): Fourth-year students in music theatre or actor training.
