HTD 215 - Jazz II

This course is a continuation of HTD 214. It focuses on further study of technical jazz dance and its execution on an upper intermediate level. The emphasis is on musical theater styles utilizing social, contemporary, and ethnic dance forms. In this course, students will study seated and standing technical warm-up exercises, stretching, full-body conditioning, center work, and movement combinations to improve coordination skills, body placement, and performance qualities. A studio format is used.
Prerequisite(s): HTD 214 or advanced placement.
