HTD 311 - Ballet III

This course is a continuation of HTD 310. It explores ballet movement, technique, vocabulary, and musicality on an advanced level. Class includes movement and combination work at the barre and center floor, traveling across the floor. Students will practice dance work in different tempos and styles, focusing on correct placement, style, and execution of ballet movements in the classical and contemporary repertoire. This course also reinforces body conditioning, body placement, strengthening, and stretching. A studio format is used.
Prerequisite(s): HTD 310; or advanced placement.
