MGT 282P - Small-Business PracticumCourse Cross-listed with MKT 282P 3 credit(s) High Impact Practice: Service Learning This service-learning course offers students practical experience by engaging them with micro businesses in Hartford’s Upper Albany neighborhood. Participants will apply project management tools and techniques as they are assigned to specific businesses, helping address needs identified through each business’s assessments. This hands-on approach not only aids local businesses but also enhances the students’ proficiency in applying project management principles in real-world settings. Much of the work will take place on site at each business or in the Upper Albany Main Street office. Students are expected to spend at least 10 hours per week during business hours (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) working on their businesses. Prerequisite(s): 24 earned credits.
