PSY 470W - Research Methods for Psychology


3 credit(s) Writing Intensive and High Impact Practice: Collaborative Learning
This course will teach you to be a better consumer of everyday knowledge while we apply the principles of research design to the study of contemporary psychological issues. We will explore topics of research methodology, data collection, and report writing with an emphasis on study design, internal and external validity, and ethical aspects of psychological research. Several mini research projects throughout the semester allow students to gain firsthand research experience by collecting and analyzing data and writing up results in APA style format.
Prerequisite(s): PSY 372 .
