HTA 235 - Acting the Commedia

In addition to understanding the historical importance of commedia dell’arte to the development of Western Theatre, the skill set acquired through exploring commedia style acting has extensive application for today’s actor. This is especially true in the areas of physical character work, spontaneity, and comic timing. The goal of this course is to provide the student actor with these and additional fundamental performance skills through the practice of commedia style acting.
Prerequisite(s): Actor training and music theatre students.
