DPT 635 - Integrated Community Health

This course provides the opportunity for students to actively engage in community health and wellness as a future health care professional. Students will participate in service activities that promote the health and wellbeing of individuals and/or groups in the community. Students will apply their knowledge and skills in evidence-based practice, health promotion, professional leadership and educational strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of others. Students are expected to demonstrate professional behavior in all interactions. This course also continues to facilitate the development, measurement, and assessment of professionalism. May require travel.
Prerequisite(s): DPT 630.
