MSPO 510 - Lower-Limb Orthotics

A comprehensive study of the anatomy of the lower leg with a focus on the foot-ankle complex. This region is evaluated for its biomechanical and physical properties to determine the potential for orthotic treatment. Included is detailed discussion of prescription criteria, foot mechanics, AFO variants, and component/design selection. May require travel.
Prerequisite(s): Prosthetics & orthotics major.
Laboratory fee.
