MSOT 511 - Group Dynamics in Diverse Context

This didactic course introduces the theoretical foundations and principles of occupation-centered group intervention. Students will examine group dynamics, leadership styles, roles, and stages of group development, with an emphasis on the intentional use of therapeutic self in facilitating groups. Through lecture, discussion, and analysis of evidence-based practice, students will develop an understanding of how therapist behaviors, communication styles, and professional presence influence group process and outcomes across practice settings.
Prerequisite(s): MSOT 504 . Corequisite(s): MSOT 513
