Highway capacity and quality of service, traffic flow characteristics, intersection traffic control and design, urban planning, 4-step modeling, signal timing design, safety analysis, laboratory application of highway capacity software (HCS), and computer simulation and modeling, group project. Laboratory work, written and oral presentation of results included. May require travel.
Prerequisite(s): CE 352 .
