HTD 414 - Jazz IV

This course focuses on technical jazz dance and its execution on an advanced level. The emphasis is on musical theater and social, contemporary, and ethnic dance styles. In this course, students will study seated and standing technical warm-up exercises, stretching, full-body conditioning, center work, and movement combinations while enhancing advanced coordination skills, audition skills, and improvisation. A studio format is used.
Prerequisite(s): HTD 315 or advanced placement.
