SM 240 - Foundations of Sport Management

This course examines how foundational principles and practices drawn from the fields of management, marketing, finance and economics, law, and ethics can all be applied to sport management. Attention is then focused on important issues such as the evolving structure of the sports industry as well as notable trends within key industry segments such as analytics, collegiate and professional sports, and facility and event management, all with an eye toward their impact on individual career opportunities.
