This course will study the practical application of the principles and theory related to planning and operating sporting events and sport facilities. Topics include: planning and design, services management, booking and scheduling events, media support, maintenance, funding, operations, safety and security aspects, as well the management of small and large scale facilities and event venues, and the career paths to become a successful sports event and/or facility manager. May require travel.
Prerequisite(s): 48 earned credits.
