IB 200D - Challenges of Globalization


3 credit(s) High Impact Practice: Diversity
This integrative course examines the interactions between cultures and global corporations and the environments in which they operate. While focusing on the cultural dimension and its political effects, topics include conflicts between host and home cultures, as manifested in the history of global corporations; colonial heritage and cultural imperialism; governmental policies; trade restrictions and incentives; roles and power balances of key players; and ethical dilemmas.
