Business Analytics and Managerial Economics provides the students with the necessary skills in both quantitative methods and economic analysis. Businesses increasingly seek college graduates who are able to conduct such analysis. The ability to understand and utilize these skills prepares students for the job market. This concentration also provides a strong foundation for graduate work in data analytics, economics, and business administration. Through selection of elective courses, students can develop their own specific program of study in accordance with their own career goals and objectives. Students who wish to major in economics should refer to Economics, B.A. in the College of Arts and Sciences in this Catalog.
Required courses in this concentration are regularly offered. These courses include introduction to business analytics, data mining, business forecasting, predictive and business analytics, managerial economics, macroeconomic analysis, and internship. Students are advised to check with the department for specific the schedule of courses.
