To qualify for the Associate in Science (with Paralegal Certificate) a student must

Attain a grade point average of at least 2.0, with a minimum of 60 credits in academic courses. At least 30 of the credits must be earned in liberal arts courses and 25 credits in Paralegal Studies. Each course in the paralegal studies major must be passed with a C (2.0) or better. Before any Paralegal Studies courses are taken, permission of the Program is required, and the student must complete 12 credits of general education courses with a GPA of at least 2.0. Both WRT 110W - Academic Writing I and POL 110 - Power and Politics in America are required.

Academic Groups

A minimum of 6 credits from each of the three academic groups listed for the A.A. degree:

Group I: Humanities and Arts:

Two humanities and arts courses PHI 110 - Introduction to Philosophy recommended

Group II: Laboratory Science/ Mathematics:

One laboratory science
One college-level mathematics course

Group III: Social Sciences:

Two social science courses, with PSY 105 - Introduction to Psychology or SOC 110 - Introduction to Sociology recommended
