Electronic Music Composition Minor (M.M.)

The graduate minor in Electronic Music Composition is open to all Hartt M.M. students, including Hartt Composition majors, who want to deepen their musical creative experience and enhance their knowledge of creative music technologies, and electronic/electroacoustic compositional techniques and aesthetics. To complete this minor, the student must register for a letter grade in all courses counting toward the minor and must not receive more than one B- in those courses.

Note: Not all Hartt M.M. degrees will allow completion of this minor within the typical 2 year degree plan.

Admissions process

  1. The student must successfully complete an interview with the chair of the composition department, or a designated faculty member.
  2. The student must then fill out and process the University change of major form. This form requires the signatures of the student’s major advisor, the Composition department chair, and the Academic and Contemporary Studies Division co-director.
