Psychology Minor

Minor GPA and Grade Requirements

Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.25 in courses required to complete the minor. All courses taken by declared minors to satisfy the minor requirements must be taken for a letter grade and may not be taken on a Pass/No Pass basis, except PSY 384P - Psychology Student Internship .

  • PSY 372  must be taken before PSY 470W .
  • Only one experientially based course (PSY 384P ) and one independent research course (PSY 489 ) can be applied toward the major or minor in psychology, although these courses can be taken more than once and can be counted as general electives toward graduation requirements.

Additional Information:

Transfer students must take a minimum of 6 credits above PSY 105  in the Department of Psychology at the University of Hartford.

Minors must complete at least one PSY course at the 300-level or above.

PSY 132 , PSY 245 , PSY 331 , PSY 332 , and PSY 333W  will not fulfill a requirement for the psychology minor.
