Pathway Information
The College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions (ENHP) offers two exploratory programs for students in their first and second year at the University. These pathways are designed to help students identify their strengths, interests and potential career paths!
The Health Professions Exploratory pathway and the Education Exploratory pathway allows students to take courses designed to prepare them for the Health Professions or Education majors offered within ENHP.
Education Exploratory Pathway
The education pathway allows students to explore the three undergraduate education programs offered in ENHP - Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Integrated Elementary and Special Education. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for admission to the professional phase of the program.

Notes:
1Must be completed with a C (2.0) or better. These classes may not be taken pass/fail.
2Students must earn a B in all Professional Program classes (300 level and up) and identified Pre-Professional classes.
A cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 is required for admission to the professional phase of the program.
Health Professions Exploratory Pathway
The health professions exploratory pathway allows students to take courses designed to prepare them for a major in the health or rehabilitation sciences, as well as other helping professions.
Science Pre-Requisite Courses
General Education Courses
Notes:
1CH 110 /CH 111P is required for students interested in Exercise Science, Health Science/Pre-Professional, Health Science/MSOT and Health Science/MSPO. CH 114 /CH 136 is required for students interested in Nursing. Either Chemistry sequence (110/111P or 114/136) is accepted for the Health Science, Respiratory Care and Radiologic Technology programs.
2PHY 101 and PHY 102 are required for the Exercise Science, Health Science/MSOT and Health Science/MSPO programs. PHY 120 is required for the Health Science/Pre-Professional program. Any of the physics courses listed are accepted for the Health Science, Respiratory Care and Radiologic Technology programs. Radiologic Technology also accepts PHY 103 . Physics is not required for the Nursing program.
