Students in the Art History program are required to fulfill the general education requirements described below.

Total General Education Coursework (45-47 credits)

University-Wide General Education Requirements (21-22 credits)

1 Math course 3 credits
WRT 110W - Academic Writing I 3 credits
1 Interdisciplinary course 3 credits
1 Participatory Arts course (any) 3 credits
1 Humanities course 3 credits (not Art History)
1 Social Science course 3 credits
1 Natural Science/Tech. course 3-4 credits

BA General Education Requirements (24-25 credits)

WRT 210W - Foundations of Argument 3 credits
3 additional Humanities courses including either HIS 100D or HIS 101 9 credits (not Art History)
1 additional Social Science course 3 credits
1 additional Natural Science/Tech. course 3-4 credits
CS 110 - Introduction to Computers or other Computer literacy course 3 credits
1 Participatory Creative Art Elective course in HAS 3 credits

Notes:

It is recommend that Art History majors take a foreign language for at least two semesters.
To fulfill Humanities requirements, it is recomended that Art History majors take courses in CIN, DRA, and HLM.
