AET 241 - Building Systems for Architectural Design

This course focuses on the integration of environmental control systems in architecture. The course explores factors affecting comfort, health, and safety. The fundamentals of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical systems, lighting, water supply, plumbing, drainage, and acoustics are studied. Applicable code requirements and sustainable design principles and practices are included. Three lecture hours. (AET 241 formerly, 4 credits, Principles of Mechanical Plumbing and Electrical Systems.)
Prerequisite(s): MTH 112 , PHY 121 AET 232 , and AET 233 ; or permission of instructor, Department Chair or Program Director.
