NUR 446 - Pharmacology Synthesis

This course focuses on pathophysiology and pharmacology concepts related to nursing practice. Pharmacodynamics, therapeutic uses, side and adverse effects of prototypical drugs, and nursing implications in medication administration are core concepts of this course. Nursing implications for medication administration are analyzed through the use of case studies. The laboratory component of this course provides simulation experiences for the student to practice safe medication administration, dosage calculations, and therapeutic assessment.
Prerequisite(s): NUR 360  and NUR 370 .
