MSOT 610 - Occupational Therapy Practice with Adults and Older Adults

Examination of the etiology, progression, and management of conditions and other influences on adults and older adults’ engagement in occupation in multiple settings across the health care continuum. Course content emphasizes client-centered, occupation-based, and empowerment of client participation. Frames of references will be used to assess and treat neurological, musculoskeletal, and related conditions will be explored to plan and implement care with clients. Students will complete documentation for evaluation, treatment planning, goal setting, and discharge while keeping ethical issues that may arise in mind.
Prerequisite(s): MSOT 512 , MSOT 601 , MSOT 603 , MSOT 604 , and MSOT 608 . Corequisite(s): MSOT 611 .
