PHI 110 - Introduction to Philosophy

3 credit(s)
What constitutes a good life? Is there such a thing as human nature? What makes me, me? How do my race, gender, or class shape what I know? Am I required to follow the law? Can we prove that god exists? Why is it wrong to lie? This course provides an introduction to philosophy through the consideration of these classic and contemporary philosophical questions. Through discussion and reading of philosophical texts, students will develop the ability to ask philosophical questions and analyze the answers that philosophers have historically provided.
