TH 410 - Advanced Form and Analysis

An advanced course in the analysis of music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th-century literatures. In contrast to TH 210 and TH 211W, diverse works of greater scope and musical complexity are studied, concentrating on the structural and stylistic features of each composition. Works include examples from the chamber, orchestral, choral, and operatic genres. Usually offered in alternate years. Three hours weekly.
Prerequisite(s): TH 211W.
