ROBO 402 - Robotic Systems and Programming


3 credit(s)
An introduction to Robotics Technology with emphasis on skills that are needed for development of robot systems and advanced topics including computer vision, autonomous navigation and machine learning. Students will get deep knowledge of robot operating system and programming techniques for creating robotic applications. Students undertake practice-oriented group lessons in topics such as robotics programming, 3D modeling and simulation, sensor data acquisition and its processing and actuator control. Students will apply the skills they gained from the above lessons to use various robotic sensors and networked actuators to perform specific tasks through team projects. Students will work on several projects including a final project in a team setting.
Prerequisite(s): ROBO 303 .
