RAD 475 - CT Principles II


3 credit(s)
This course will introduce students to the principles of computed tomography (CT) imaging including image evaluation and archival. Topics covered in the image evaluation component of this course include image display, image quality, artifact recognition and reduction. Informatics applications in CT will be discussed and the importance of DICOM, archival, PACS, EMR, security and confidentiality, and networking will be reviewed.
Prerequisite(s): RAD 470 , ARRT certification in radiography, current CPR certification, and appropriate state licensure, OR RAD 470  and ARRT certification in radiography (R), current CPR certification, and appropriate state licensure, OR permission of instructor.
