ME 467 - Acoustical Modeling and Auralizations

Acoustical modeling is an integral tool for acoustical engineers. This course focuses on the modeling processes for architectural acoustics, using SketchUp and Odeon as the predominant software. Throughout the course, students will learn techniques and best practices for modeling, geared towards the profession of acoustical consulting. This will involve the creation of a 3D computer model of a recital or concert hall of the student’s choice. Architectural drawings will be directly referenced, and the model will be analyzed for its validity. Laboratory/demonstration included.
Prerequisite(s): ME 376  and ME 460  (minimum course grade B- in each).
