BIO 326 - Conservation Biology

This course focuses on biodiversity and conservation. The content includes definition of biodiversity, its measurement, causes and consequences of biodiversity loss (such as climate change, invasive species, and habitat destruction), and management and protection of biodiversity. Students learn the key concepts and theories of biodiversity and conservation and apply the knowledge to solve real-world problems through research projects in the lecture and the laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): BIO 260W  or permission of instructor.
