ENG 142 - Introduction to American Literature

This course introduces students to major authors, texts, and themes in American literature from 1650-present. Special attention is paid to movements that have come to define American literary history, including Transcendentalism, Romanticism, Realism, Naturalism, Modernism, and Post-Modernism.
