ME 464P - Aircraft Design and Analysis

3 credit(s) High Impact Practice: Capstone
This course introduces the fundamentals of aircraft design, including the design processes of fixed-wing aircraft, vertical lift aircraft, and clean energy integration. Topics include aircraft performance, preliminary sizing, FAA regulations, propulsion systems, layout, weight and balance, stability and control, structural design, aerodynamic analysis, cost estimation, rotorcraft performance, and novel energy sources.
Prerequisite(s): ME 343. Corequisite(s): ME 423 and ME 424W.
