DFA 360 - Repertory/Performance

Learning, rehearsing, and performing contemporary and classical dance repertory for the concert stage. Studying and developing audition and rehearsal skills, performance practices and techniques. Gaining familiarity with the roles of performer, choreographer, ballet master, rehearsal assistant, costumers, stage crew, and others involved in the process of preparing dance for the professional concert stage. Assessment of student performance in the following areas: conduct and professional deportment in the studio and theatre, growth in performance qualities, effort and improvement in all artistic and technical skills.
Prerequisite(s): DFA 160P ; Dance Performance or Ballet Pedagogy majors only.
