NUR 465 - Prep for Licensure & Practice

This course assists in preparing the senior nursing student for success on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). It includes review of the current NCLEX-RN test plan, skills in reading and understanding standardized test item formats, and techniques to maximize self-confidence and improve test performance. Selected content is reviewed and students practice taking standardized exams in written and computerized formats. Emphasis will be on clinical judgment and critical thinking. This course addresses the learning outcomes of the AACN and the School of Nursing.
Prerequisite(s): NUR 471 . Corequisite(s): NUR 482W  and NUR 455 .
