PROT 508 - Neuroscience and Occupation

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge of the brain and nervous system, including their structure, development, and functions. This knowledge is foundational and is required to interpret all aspects of human behavior. This course is designed to introduce the anatomical structures and then apply it to how dysfunction in the brain and/or nervous system impacts a person’s occupations. Students will explore specific neurological evaluation techniques, technologies, and basic interventions used in occupational therapy practice to improve occupational engagement.
Prerequisite(s):  PROT 502  and PROT 503 .
